Hosts Sandy and Michelle discuss the methods they will use to select wines for the Wines to Find podcast series.
Wines tasted a 2018 L’Auratae Nero D’Avola ($9.99) and a 2015 Chateaux de Macard French Bordeaux ($15.99).
2018 L’auratae Nero D’Avola wine notes: This organic, vegan Nero d’Avola has a wonderful structure, yet has soft tannins and is very approachable. Packed with red berry fruit flavors, it is ideal with stewed vegetables and tomato-based pasta sauces. WTF RATING: Sandy gave 4 corks, Michelle gave 3.5 corks.
2015 Chateau de Macard Bordeaux Superieur wine notes: Attractive ripe dark plums and cherry fruits are framed in toasty, cedary oak and freshly crushed violets. The palate has taut, punchy tannins that need some time. Best from 2022. Rated 90 points by James Suckling. WTF RATING: Sandy and Michelle both rated at 3.5 corks.
